Morning announcements

Posted here are the announcements given to staff and students each morning.  Now you can find out what your student forgets to tell you!

 10/13/09 

 

We will be having a field day on Friday October 23rd at Riverfront Park if the weather is nice (meaning “not raining”).  If it does rain, we will have regularly scheduled classes

 

1.      Tickets are now on sale for the 1st annual CPMS Halloween/Costume Party to be held on Oct 31st from 6-10 @ Christ Church Cathedral (across the street from the school).  Tickets can be purchased during lunch periods for $6 or can be purchased using the form that will be sent home.  NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

2        All seniors participating in the More Money Conference on the 23rd will have to participate in a mandatory training on the 16th at 2:30pm in room 304

3        ATTENTION STAFF AND STUDENTS: On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, all Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT. Testing will be During Period 1, 2 and lunch.

4       October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Stay tuned for information regarding this important topic.

5       There will be an NHS meeting on Tuesday, 10/13, at 7:30 in room 319 Front.

IMPORTANT AFTER SCHOOL POLICY CHANGE

After School Protocol

 

In order to stay after school, the following procedures must be followed:

 

  1. All students who wish to stay after school MUST sign up with their FIRST period teacher on the form on the back of the morning reminders at 825.

 

  1. Security will pick up forms at 835 each morning and give to Ms. O’Connor.

 

  1. Ms. O’Connor will type up an attendance sheet and have available for after school teachers before they go to their room at 330.

 

  1. Students who are not in their assigned room by 330 MUST leave the building. 

 

  1. No student is permitted to stay in a room if they are not on the attendance list.  Students who are not in classrooms with teachers AND who are on the attendance sheet will be disciplined.

 

  1. Students CANNOT be given passes from academic center to do work in the office.  Students who are in the office MUST be with a teacher.  If the teacher has left, the student must leave as well.

 

  1. Any student who wishes to stay after school once the sign up sheet has been collected must see Ms. O’Connor before the end of the day to sign up AND call home to make sure a ride is available after school.  If a parent cannot be reached, the student may NOT stay after that day.
